First Met
Gitya and Simon first met in Hof, Bavaria, Germany, while Gitya was pursuing her master’s degree. Simon had already expressed his feelings for her, but at the time, Gitya wasn’t ready for a relationship. However, it was the beginning of a love story written in its own time, destined to bring them back together.

The Beginning of Us
A few years passed, and Gitya returned to Germany, living and working in Berlin, while Simon was living and working in Friedrichshafen by Lake Constance. What began as distance, soon grew into something deeper. After three months of a long-distance connection, Simon confessed his feelings again. This time, the timing felt right. They chose each other, and with that choice, began a new chapter together, building a life side by side in Lindau, by the beautiful Bodensee.

Family Gathering
On his second visit to Indonesia, Simon returned with the intention of building a deeper connection with Gitya’s family. He traveled to Indonesia twice in 2024. Together, they shared a meaningful holiday in Sumatra. During this time, he grew especially close to her parents, forming a genuine bond built on respect and sincerity. With heartfelt intention, Simon asked for their blessing to take their relationship to the next level.

Engagement
On June 20, 2025, just after Gitya’s birthday, Simon asked the most important question. He had carefully planned a truly special moment, renting a private boat and proposing surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Lake Maggiore in Italy. With serene waters, golden light, and unforgettable views, it felt like something out of a dream. In that perfect moment, Gitya said yes. From then on, they were officially engaged, stepping into a new chapter together, hand in hand, and beginning their journey toward a lifetime of love.
