Laavaan
Laavaan are the four sacred marriage hymns composed by Guru Ram Das Ji, as recorded in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Each Laav (round) represents a spiritual stage of love and union – both between husband and wife, and between the soul (jiv-ātmā) and the Divine (Param-ātmā).

Commitment to Righteous Living
(Dharam – ਧਰਮ)
Second Laav:
Growing in Love through Divine Awareness and Reverence
(Giaan – ਗਿਆਨ)
Third Laav:
Yearning and Detachment from Worldly Attachments
(Vairaag – ਵਿਰਾਗ)
Fourth Laav:
Union and Eternal Peace
(Sehaj / Anand – ਸਹਜ / ਅਨੰਦ)
ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਨਿ ਘਰਿ ਆਪਣੈ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਹੇਤਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ||
