Our Love Story
The Beginning of Everything
September 2024
It all started with a sincere
introduction, facilitated by a trusted mutual friend. From the beginning, with the long distance between Kupang, Indonesia and Timor-Leste, we knew this relationship wasn’t a casual one. We were committed, with God’s blessing, to walk towards marriage.
November 2024
Our first meeting was unforgettable. At Bapak Bili’s house in Lifubatu, Pastor Izac met Sartiani in person for the first time. That’s where he expressed his heartfelt intention to propose to Sartiani.
With love, Bapak Bili gave his blessing and offered words of wisdom, entrusting Ps. Izac to guard and protect his beloved daughter with all his heart.
Journey of Love
From that moment on, our relationship grew despite the distance between Kupang, Indonesia and Timor-Leste.
Though far apart, we continued to get to know each other, communicate, and grow in love.
God opened up a beautiful path: Sartiani got the opportunity to serve as a teacher at Timor Leste Adventist International School (TAIS) in Dili, and Ps. Izac was transferred from his first mission field in Umatolu to serve in Ermera, an hour’s distance from Dili.
In our ministry, our love was strengthened, not just by feelings, but by a shared purpose. We underwent counseling and prepared ourselves, our hearts, and our faith for a sacred bond.
Day of the Sacred Promise
With God’s guidance, we have chosen July 20th 2025 as our special day. Before our family, friends, and most importantly, God who united us, we promise to love, support, and walk together for a lifetime. It isn’t just a wedding day; it is the beginning of a journey of love filled with hope, faith, and affection — a love that we believe is written by God’s own hand.
